If you’ve read my article called Check Out My ZAGG InvisibleShield Review, you know that I am a big fan of that product.

Well, today I would like to tell you that I have switched to a new screen protector despite how much I liked the one that I was using. It’s made by the same company but it’s an entirely different type of screen protector. Most often, these types of products are made of some type of plastic-like material but not this one.

Introducing the ZAGG Invisible Shield Glass Screen Protector

This product is actually made of tempered glass yet it remains quite thin. It is thicker than the plastic type of screen protectors that you are probably used to but to tell you the truth, I don’t notice the increased thickness at all. According to the manufacturer’s website, it is actually only .04mm in thickness.

I have a Mophie juice pack air case on my iPhone 6 and the added thickness of this particular screen protector didn’t interfere with the application of that case.

As a matter of fact, ZAGG really seemed to be thinking when designing this product as it has tapered the edges so despite the fact that it’s a bit thicker than similar products, it’s hardly noticeable.

What I like Most about This Screen Protector

There are four things that I really like about this particular product.

  1. The first is that it was incredibly easy to apply. I often have a difficult time applying traditional screen protectors. It seems like I either get air bubbles or dust stuck under them that ends up driving me crazy. I didn’t have that problem with this one at all. As a matter of fact, once I got the screen of my phone clean and positioned the protector where I wanted it, all I had to do was gently place it on my phone and it somehow slowly attached itself. I had to work out a couple of little air bubbles but I was quite impressed with how easily it bonded to the screen of my phone.
  2. The next thing that I really like about this particular product is that it’s extremely smooth. As a matter of fact, it feels just as smooth to me as if I didn’t have a screen protector on my phone at all.
  3. One of my favorite things is that it has some sort of “Oil-Resistant Nano-Coating” on it which in my experience has made it much easier to keep clean. I’ve noticed that wiping oil smudges and fingerprints off of my phone seems to be much easier now.
  4. Lastly, I really liked that it has a lifetime manufacturer’s warranty!

In summary, this product seems to have solved all of the things that I didn’t like about traditional screen protectors. I’ve had it on my phone for about a month now and I haven’t noticed any chips or scratches at all.

Since it’s manufactured out of very thin tempered glass, I was a little bit worried that the edges might chip but at least on my phone, I haven’t had this problem.

The bottom line is that I really like this product so far. Incidentally, after my daughter saw it on my phone, she decided that she wants one for hers as well.
